Cannabis · CBD
When Google and Meta say no, search, your website and your own audience carry the business. We build all three for licensed dispensaries, brands and hemp-derived CBD companies, with the age, licence and claim rules built in from day one.
The channel map
Where cannabis can and cannot advertise
Summary of the published Google and Meta policies. State rules apply on top.
Act IThe problem
The rules differ by platform, by product and by state. Here is the short version, with the sources.
No cannabis. CBD only for FDA-approved CBD drugs, and for LegitScript-certified topical hemp CBD in California, Colorado and Puerto Rico after Google certification.
No THC products. CBD only with LegitScript certification and Meta’s written permission, in the US only, to adults, and with no health claims. Educational content is allowed.
In California, ads may run only where at least 71.6 percent of the audience is reasonably expected to be 21 or over, and must carry your licence number. Other states have their own versions.
Disease and health claims for CBD have drawn FTC and FDA action. A single sentence on a product page can be the problem.
Act IIWhat we do
Location pages, live menus and product pages that rank for the searches your customers make on the way to you.
Age gate, licence numbers, clear product information and no claims your regulator would object to.
Guides and product education that search engines and AI answers can quote, written without medical claims.
Email and SMS lists built on clear consent, so you are not renting reach from a platform that can switch you off.
Coverage and listings in the places cannabis buyers already look.
Measurement that respects an opt-out and keeps advertising pixels off the pages that do not need them.
Act IIIHouse rules
Age gates, and 21+ audience targeting where your state requires it.
Licence numbers wherever your state requires them to appear.
No health or medical claims for CBD, on any page, in any channel.
Consent-first analytics and email capture.
We work in the open channels and leave the closed ones closed. That is what keeps a licensed brand licensed.
The same standard runs through our work in other regulated fields: see how we handle claims in regenerative medicine, and how we build websites that survive underwriting for high-risk merchants.
Act IVQuestions
No. Google does not accept cannabis ads. We put the effort into search and local listings instead, where you can win and nobody can switch you off.
No. Disease and health claims for CBD have drawn FTC and FDA action. We write product copy that describes the product honestly without medical claims.
Local search and your listings, menu and product pages that rank, a website built for the rules, and an email or SMS list built on clear consent. Earned media and the directories cannabis buyers already use come next.
No. We work with licensed operators and compliant hemp brands only.
